Panzerkampfabzeichen in Silber, R.S. Rudolf Souval

I was recently able to add this very nice silver example to my PAB collection. :)
The examples with the broad maker mark are believed to be the earliest production from this maker. This is thought to be the case due to the fact that the hardware fits exactly into the formed guide lines for the hinge and catch. They can be found with round wire pins, as well as broad pins.
The earliest silver grades received a copper base coat on the obverse, as well as the reverse, before the high quality Brennilac finish was applied. The later ones only received the copper base coat on the obverse.
Unfortunately, the copper base coat on the reverse of this example has started to separate, and lift.
This example retains all of the silver finish on the obverse.
Ralph.
