Hello, One of my friends who is a antique estate "buyer" picked these up from a large estate. I have some doubts as I have not seen this specific pattern on the "Der Fuhrer" armband. They look like very well made counterfeits to me, the white thread does not glow, passes the burn test, and smells/feels extremely old. BUT I would like to be 100% positive that they are not authentic. The collarboard with pips looks pretty believable and the thread used on the SS Collarboard also looks pretty believable. Because they came in a lot from the same estate, and I find the Der Fuhrer Armband very questionable, I question the other items authenticity as well. I would prefer to tell my friend with 100% certainty they are no good, or maybe they are. Maybe you can help us and thank you!

Here is a WW 2 Berlin Germany RATONAL SS stop watch. Running-working! An 18 size watch, out of a home near Hamburg. Inscription on reverse case. I know there is a lot of fake SS stuff out there, but this really looks good, and the SS looks the same style, depth, and age as the other wording. Also, discoloring from age is consistent thruout. What do you experts think?? Inside is a complex D.R.P. movement, marked "Hier Unten Ersatzstucks". Has its serial number. Functional German WW 2 stop watch. Questions welcome.

Hi all.

I’d like opinions on this SS helmet. The helmet itself looks fine, but it obvious underwent (at some point, possibly period?) a repaint from desert tan to black. The interior shows the tan color while the exterior shows the black (and what appear to be some paint runs). I do know that German helmets were indeed repainted from desert camo back to the original color - I have a Luftwaffe helmet in my collection that was field repainted from desert back to the standard gray. I assume the decals will tell all. While I don’t have a good photo of the maker stamp, I can at least make out that the stamp begins with an "ET".
