My new Italian M33/47

Hello everyone,
I have just added to my Italian M33 collection this last example, I want to share it with you because it is one of the most interesting M33/47 that I found recently and definitely uncommon.
I did not know what specialty it belonged to, but after having carefully studied it I think it’s a helmet by “Moviere” = M, this Italian word indicates a military officer assigned to direction of traffic during the military operations; before painting the white strip and letter “M”, the Army speciaties flash that was on the front was removed, the signs of abrasion are still visible.
But this is not the only feature of this example that has had a long life and has been overhauled several times.
The shell is a size 2 (medium), intended to accommodate liners 57 or 58, in this case 58, with imprinted on the back flap the code maker “P” and batch number “47″.
The manufacturer could be “Pignone” of Florence, but I’m not sure, while the batch number surely places him in a mid-30’s early production.
The color of the paint is the kakhi-green used from late 50s, which replaced the previous kakhi-brown, but in this paricular case it is datable between the late 50s and mid 60s, is understood from the fact that under the paint was not applied the “yellow” antirust, typical of the subsequent productions.
The rounded air vents, the canvass chinstrap whit the trapezoidal lugs are the regular ones of the postwar period.
Normally the liner’s leather used in the post-war period never report the maker’s brand, this helmet instead mounts a example from WW2 stock, marked by: “A. Sinigagliesi of Turin”, a maker who has produced many good quality leather articles (liners, pistol holsters, cavalry rifle holsters, etc.) for the Regio Esercito between 1934 and the end of the war.
As always I hope it was a good vision and useful information.:D

Regards
Roberto
