Hello again,

Back from a rather long wait, and with a new piece to show. Recently purchased from Hannah’s Reich (Hanners Reich), are a pair of rather nice black breeches of either a person of the SS or NSKK, or possibly another unspecified political agency. I’m posting pictures from the site proper, and one from me since my only camera is currently not up to snuff for "high" quality photographs. Feel free to comment and critique.

Could this be an optical sight battery box for an mg34? If not, what was it used for?

I couldnt find a suitable forum for posting a joke so hopefully admin will forgive me for posting it here. As I am on my 2nd glass of Chivas and feeling quite jovial I thought id share this with you.

At a tri-services function being held in London a British Army Infantry Major visited the Gents in desperate need to unload the 3 or 4 pints of lager he had drunk and found himself at the urinals stood next to a slightly older Squadron Leader who was also relieving himself. Having finished first the Major zipped up and was about to leave when the Squadron Leader who had also finished and was heading towards the wash basins commented in an upper class English accent …. "You know at Cranwell we are taught that one should wash ones hands after visiting the toilet" ….. The Major gave a wry smile and said … "Really ? at Sandhurst they teach us not to piss on our hands"

With regard to the medals those will be listed a little later as a complete group together with the medal bars, photo, documents and some additional (modern copies) of original photos of 6th Regiment in action. The group was missing the full size Italy Star with 8th army bar & also the full size 39-45 War medal so we have decided to obtain genuine period versions of these two items to complete the group before listing them.

Hello, One of my friends who is a antique estate "buyer" picked these up from a large estate. I have some doubts as I have not seen this specific pattern on the "Der Fuhrer" armband. They look like very well made counterfeits to me, the white thread does not glow, passes the burn test, and smells/feels extremely old. BUT I would like to be 100% positive that they are not authentic. The collarboard with pips looks pretty believable and the thread used on the SS Collarboard also looks pretty believable. Because they came in a lot from the same estate, and I find the Der Fuhrer Armband very questionable, I question the other items authenticity as well. I would prefer to tell my friend with 100% certainty they are no good, or maybe they are. Maybe you can help us and thank you!
