Picked this yesterday, a lovely item, but is it WWI or WWII.
The great war forum has a long thread on brassards, armlets etc and has this type as STAFF OFFICER ARMY CORPS HQ Ordnance, whilst BL Davis has it as Officers holding Appointments at HQ ANTI-AIRCRAFT CORPS Ordnance Service.
From this I assume that very similar armbands were worn in both wars for similar functions, but which one is this, WWI or WWII?
Poppers are Newey B’ham LTD. Of note, it has a second set of poppers which I think were to attach it to the sleeve to stop it falling down in wear.

I am guessing this is a made up helmet. Liner looks too new and the exterior looks to have been painted over a really rough finish. Decal would either have been painted over or there, no idea what they are attempting to do here. What are the digits around the neck guard - head tally? Really?? Any opinions welcome.
And my latest addition, picked up in Berlin last week ..
Flag for Air Force Flying Units, Technical, and Aerial Warfare Schools
On the 16th of March 1936 the Fuhrer and Supreme Commander of the Wehrmacht bestowed new Colours to the
German armed forces by virtue of the following
On the first anniversary of the rebirth of the German right to bear arms I bestow unit colours upon the armed forces.
The glorious existence of the old Army came to an end as a result of the events of 1918. The courageous spirit of soldiers put to the
test through the centuries can only be suppressed at a time of the national misfortune, but it can never be destroyed.
The new colours shall be a symbol of this ideal towards which to strive.
Berlin 16 March 1936
(signed) The Fuhrer and Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces
Adolf Hitler.
Most of the armed forces Colours were presented during the years 1936 and 1937. In the later pre-war years all existing units are
presumed to have received their Colours. It would however appear that no official list giving the names of the units of all branches of the
Wehrmacht that received Colours, as well as the dates and places of presentation, was ever published. If such a list did exist it has so far not
come to light.

Spotted this on facebook for £50 ( which was the red flag). Since i knew it was definitely going to be fake. I thought it would be a good opportunity to test if i can say why its a fake. I would love to hear feedback on the points i make. The wings of the eagle are less detailed and a less defined bulge on the top and the feet are missing the rings/wrinkles. The details on the head are too soft. There is an apparent lack of pebbling around the 1939 and the pin on the back is dreadful. I was comparing this one to a real l/12 Juncker spange that was posted on this forum
