There are soooo many things to look for..Serifs, logs, propellers..etc. I believe from research this is a good one…What do you guys think of this one?

I assume these are not real, but I cannot pin point any obvious indicators.
They are from the estate of an ww2 figther in Denmark(He was frikorps danmark), so it is not totally unrealistic they could be real.
I got them for free and I like them fake or real(got them from a friend deer to me- because she knew about my interest and thought of me when she found them).
But I would like to know if there is a chance they are real?

I picked up this map case yesterday and I have never seen another one like it.
It was made in 1937 by S.E. Norris who were well known for their surveying equipment. The leather straps have brass swivel attachments and both leather parts of the strap have a broad Arrow.

It is buttoned on each side by 3 snaps which are plastic covered or painted steel pressing onto brass leather bound studs. The zip is by Tefas. Internally it has a leather stiffener.

Hi guys new to the site but have been reading the posts for some time. I collect dog tags and bayonets as well as small arms ammo. I have a tag I am trying to research. Its a POW tag which belongs to what I think is an Belgium officer. To me it looks like he was processed at Off. Gef.Dulag. I would like to know where that was. He was then moved to Offlag XIIB Mainz, then transferd to Offlag XD Fischbek. As per the photo. You can see the embossed mark of OffXD. When this came up for sale I just had to have it. its the only POW tag I have with a photo. If anyone can shed any light on this I would be most greatfull.

Greetings again! I stumbled upon these curious pieces recently and I purchased them together thinking that the full-size medal was fake, but the other two examples as originals…after doing some research I have become confident that the ribbon bar and mini-medal are real (even though the mini-medal version was apparently never officially issued) but the full-size medal I am still not sure about. I ruled it out at first because of the different colored ribbon and how it doesn’t fully fill up the medal bar that attaches to the suspension but then I found 19th century victoria crosses actually did look such a way with the ribbon not being as wide as the bar…the last photo I provided is an original awarded to a defender of Rorke’s drift. I have been unable to find many images of the reverses of these medals to compare the wide brooch to. Oh and if it helps anything the items were apparently displayed in an Australian museum in Queensland until 1986, not sure which museum however.
