Next room was medals, ribbons, cuff titles and more. Stated that he is only missing two out of all the military medals issued. Absolutely amazing. The next room was Luft related, many complete manikins, tail section of a ME 109, control panels joystick and many accoutrements. There were also many autographed Luft items from the top Ace pilots along with photos. There were also quite a few items from Berchtesgaden. The last area was the Russian room. Again many manikins complete, awards arms and medals. Many came direct from trips to Russia smuggled home and friends that would send items.
It was an honor to witness and brings hope that very good items are still out there.

I have just acquired this French side cap. It’s wool and was in rag order when I first got it but have cleaned it up gently. No holes and is stamped inside (see pics). It’s army but I’m unsure on Corps or age. I have been advised French Medical Corps for a pte soldier, is this correct?

Also the stamps with any likely age numbers on are slightly worn. I can make out: 19 11 56 in the lozenge between the 2 diamond stamps. Also in the middle rectangle stamp there is: something something 36?

Can anyone enlighten me as to its age please?
