I’m BobsurUncle from the USA. I’m not a collector, but I am trying to help out a WW II veteran who has a few items that he collected in the war and he’d like to now sell to cover his expenses. The item that brought me here is (as I’ve learned) an "SA Event Medal". Since I don’t even know what the SA is, I’m starting at the bottom knowledge wise. Expect a number of newb questions when I post!
I picked this one up and find the plastic hanger unusual as well as the unmarked knife. Ive searched forum and found that some later knives had plastic hangers and the manufacturer markings were stamped and could wear off. Do I have an original knife?
Attempting to pick up my first shako. I think it looks good aside from the nails in the front plate but would love reassurance and to hear all your experts thoughts!

Hello i have just found this site by accident when i was looking for a way to authenticate a ss identity disc. At the moment i collect Russian awards but in the past i have also collected british, German and Japanese medals. i also had a large collection of militaria, uniforms and wepons, until i had to sell them. I see the prices of these items now and wish I had not sold them.
As i said i have a ID tag that I need authenticating unfortunately my scanner is playing up at the moment so i cannot post any pictures. The inscription on the tag is not one i know about as the only other ID tags i have had were Luftwaffe flak tags. The details of the tag are ss-T.Pz.Jag.E.Kp.6 can anyone tell me if this is a real unit. I think it is supposed to be panzer jager ersatz company 6. Any help would be much appriciated. Thanks Frank
