WW2 era M1 with USMC helmet cover

Hi guys managed to pick up this little beauty off eBay. This frog skin cover has the EGA patch sewn onto both sides of the cover. The cover itself has no button holes or any other markings, so does this mean this is a WW2 period cover with EGA patches sewn on instead of the usual ink stamped EGAs we normally see?
The helmet itself is a late WW2 period helmet. The steel helmet is a McCord with a heat stamp of 1061G (November 1944) and the liner is a Westinghouse with blackened brass A washers so puts this one to around mid 1944 to the Wars end. The helmet and liner are both marked on the side in black A 56 so definitely an original pairing cool militaria
The woman I bought it off told me it’s something she had kept in storage for nearly 20 years so this one was a really nice sleeper :)

Two helmets I have opportunity to buy, thoughts?

These are one of two helmets that I have the ability to purchase. They seem like interesting pieces to my untrained eye.

Medaille zur Erinnerung an die Heimkehr des Memellandes

You asked here it is :). A lovely cased version of the Return of the Memel District 1939 medal. This is a hard Medal to find. You may notice the red is a lighter shade than the Austrian and Czech counterparts.

‘Mickey Mouse’ Gas Mask

Hello folks.

Hands down, this has to be my favourite respirator. There’s a juxtaposition about the thing; the childish colouration, the toy-like appearance of it, coupled with grim wartime necessity.
This one is very much complete, with its box and retaining the pamphlet that would have been shipped with each and every one. For one reason or another, it also wasn’t returned for the fitting of the arsenic prefilter as per 1940 regulations.
They were the only civilian gas mask that could be returned postwar for money, and as such many were recalled and recycled. They’re substantially rarer these days as a result, and I’m very pleased to own one.
It’s rather scabby, with scuffed eyepieces and a repaired tear to the facepiece, but it’s very much ‘all there’ and a very surreal part of Home Front history.

Photos to follow.

Regards, B.B.

Heer or RAD Uniform?? Relic Uniform

Hello
What are your thoughts on this tunic?
Buttons are dated 1936.
It looks green in the pictures and some say it is a brown/olive color?
One ink stamp looks RAD?
Thank you for your help
Tony
