Need help! Interesting 1935/1936 Amba Aradam Medal-16th Alpini Regimet?

I recently received this medal from a gentleman in Italy. We were working out a trade for some German items I had and he decided to throw this medal in with his offer. I am not a huge collector of Italian militaria, and this medal is one of the few pieces I have. As such I know very little about these types of medals, and I was only able to locate one other one for sale online. When I researched the regiment I found that it was a relatively short-lived one, and that was really the extent of what I found.

There is a space on the obverse of the medal for what would look to be a name, suggesting these could be personalized. I understand that Amba Aradam was a battle during the Second Italo-Abyssinian War that took place in February of 1936.

If any knowledgeable collector would be able to give me some additional information about this medal I would be greatly appreciative. It is quite thin for a medal, and it would appear to be silver plate. I’ll include some pictures as well as a copy of the wording on both sides of the medal. Thanks!

The front reads:

1848-49
1855-1859-1860-1861
1866-1870
1913-14-1915-18
1935-1936

The rear reads:

12-15 Febbraio 1936
Amba Aradam
Novara Palestro
Sassari Redipvglia
Polazzo
Levani Saban

I included a picture with a pen to give an idea of size.
