Minsk (in Russian: Минск)
It is the capital and the largest city of Belarus.
It is also the capital of the Minsk Vóblast
Its population in 1941 was 300,000 inhabitants.
It is crossed by the Nyamiha and Svisloch rivers
Located 717 kilometers west of Moscow.
Conquered by the Germans on June 28, 1941 (At the beginning of Operation Barbarossa)
She was finally released by the Soviets on July 3, 1944 (Operation Bagration)
