A ‘Beltring’ find - French 47mm case
Obviously the Beltring fair is all about big, exotic - and expensive - stuff but over the years I’ve enjoyed finding odds and ends which I didn’t know I ‘needed’ until I saw them. Maybe not sexy items, but interesting anyhow.
So, here’s my Beltring 2018 favourite. A short case from a French 47mm Mle 1935 gun, as fitted to the Somua S35 and Char B1 tanks. I really like it, and it’s a nice addition to my very small collection of ‘Battle of France’-type militaria.
Oh - and it cost £15, which isn’t going to break anyone’s bank !:)
