Hi all, don’t know if I can get any help, but hope so, quite a while back I spotted this ‘haube in a Brica-a-brac shop not a militaria dealer etc, I’m no expert, (I collect orders decorations and medals), but to me it looked right, felt right and smelled right, and it was an attractive price, (Cheap!) so I decided to take a gamble and bought it, the problem with gambling, there are two results, you win or you lose! I am prepared for either result, I’ve now picked up the courage to ask the pertinent question, what do the experts think, The helmet is in exactly the same condition as I bought it save a quick wipe down with a slightly moist cloth.

The only question mark raised by others was that the cockades and rosettes were for an officers helmet, on reflection cant disagree, as it ’s to be a mannschaften helmet.
The Wappen is very tight to the helmet with no gaps,

If its genuine what time-line would it be from, If fake doesn’t matter really, I managed to locate an old image from a dealers web-site which to my untrained eye, looks virtually the same.
