ATS insignia expert help needed
I’m a WRF virgin wondering if there’s someone out there who knows anything much about ATS driver formation signs, specifically for Western command.
As I understand it, the normal sign for this is a four spoked wheel with what looks like a poppy at the centre. Or at least that’s what appears on a google image search. What my late mother described as the western command badge/sign was quite different. Her badge insignia was not unlike the Eastern command bulldog design. In the sense that it was a white motif on a square black background. The difference being the subject of the motif. She said it was a white Ptarmigan on a black square background. I’ve failed to find an image of this and I only have all her metal badges in my possession as well as her medals. Does anyone out there know anything about insignia like this?
Cheers
