So I picked this up today as I was looking for a m1 helmet. The holes look good for m42 as they are attached. Maker’s Mark on the lip looked good as well as it’s Vereinigte Deutsche Nikelwerke. The texture on the outside felt good too. My question is is should I wipe it down with a cloth or leave it as is? I believe it is a late model from the war as the district stamp and Maker’s Mark are together on the lip.
