Question Luftwaffe pilot ID tag

I was recently offered this interesting tag from a good friend of mine in Latvia. He said it was found in the sand on the Baltic sea shore. Close to the airfield ‘Cirava’ My friend posted this tag on a air force dedicated forum, and some VERY interesting information was given about it.

This tag apparently belongs to a pilot named ‘Arthur Lotz’

He flew both the BF-109 F4, and Fw-190 A. He was awarded the EK2, and fighter operational clasp. He was a part of JG54. Arthur Lotz along with Hans Gott were reported to be the last pilots to leave the Kurland pocket on May 8th 1945.

All of this information was provided by the air force dedicated forum called 12 O clock high. I’m not sure how they obtained this info, but can anyone confirm this just by looking at the tag? Ive wanted a pilots tag for quite some time, and if the history behind it is true I would love to get it. I’m just confused how they were able to provide a name for this tag.

Best regards- Jarret
