I am writing a short research paper for my college History professor. We are supposed to choose an item from a trunk and write a paper about the object and what it stood for, etc. I chose this Soviet flag or banner. I was told by my professor that she found it beside a residential trash pile in Poland in the 80’s or 90’s. I would greatly appreciate any information about this item and if someone could translate the Cyrillic I would appreciate that also. Any comments are greatly appreciated!
