Previously I was sold this Verwundetenabzeichen (wound badge) as an original WW2 German issue.
I had no experience as a collector, and was sceptical since it was missing a swastika, but I noticed many other eBay sellers were also selling similar badges as original WW2 issue, so I went ahead with the purchase.
To this day, many similar badges are still being sold on eBay, as original WW2 issue, and they have not been "denatzified".
I would like to know if there is a subtle detail denoting a WW2 German Verwundetenabzeichen which does not have the swastika?

Do all WW2 German Verwundetenabzeichen have a swastika or did some early war pieces not have them ?
Please let me know if my Verwundetenabzeichen is from WW1 or WW2 ?
