Real WWII officer ring?

I purchased this ring from someone. I had it tested and it is confirmed 10k gold. I was told it belonged to Jan Swiecinski, "MC Cross # 30841". I was told they were in the 6th Children of Lwow armored regiment, and they fought in Monte Cassino and Ancona. Was later stationed in the UK. They told me this was made for the veteran in 1945.

I have no way of confirming any of this information. I am positive about is that it is 10k gold.

Here is a link to the images of the ring:

Can anyone help? Maybe by either searching records or confirming this style of ring?
