Just interested in any other forum members’ ‘top tips’ on how to clean and degrease new spec (i.e. non-strippable) deact guns. For handguns you can remove the grips, dip them in whitespirit or similar, apply plenty of pokes with an old paintbrush, dry off and re-oil/spray. But for bigger guns like SMGs, MGs and rifles you can’t do that as easily, and many come with the internals (and some externals) caked in smelly old storage grease and oil, and because they don’t strip in new EU deact condition it makes degreasing and cleaning them (inside and out very difficult).

Does anyone have any experience or suggestions on how best to tackle cleaning these bigger items?
