Need help! Propeller Maybe a B17 ?

Can anyone assist with a serial number on a propellor which mate has & believes is from a B17 ~

(There were USAF B17s based in this area from 1942 t0 1943 ~ Mareeba ~ Far North Queensland Australia ) )
