Battle Damaged SSh-40 Helmet
I recently acquired this SSh-40 helmet from a Finnish vet’s grandson. According to the story his grandfather, a captain, brought it back from Tali-Ihantala. The helmet is a grim reminder of the realities of war. There’s a hole on top of the helmet that’s most likely been drilled post-war.
