I though that I would share photos of my Type 44 carbine. It was passed down to me by my father who purchased it in the mid 1970s. Interestingly, the carbine has a name engraved in a couple of places. I’ve done a little background research and found that this individual (if indeed this is the right person, as I have no paperwork to prove it) was a Seabee who served with the 38th Construction Bn from 1943-1946. His Bn was stationed in Kodiak, Alaska; Tinian, Guam (?), and occupied Japan.
