Easy modification to my AO Thompson

Although the current AO/Kahr Thompson M1SB’s are near-clones to the original, for some reason they opted to eliminate the oiler slot in the butt stock and the hinged opening metal butt plate (they are now plastic). I was able to locate an original new-old-stock butt stock and an original butt plate and screws (and an oiler). As it turns out, the new butt stocks are the exact dimensions of the old ones. After a test fit yesterday and a trip to the hardware store to confirm the stain color, I spent yesterday afternoon putting several coats of stain on the NOS butt stock. This morning I swapped it out with the original. I’m really pleased with the results.
