Need help! 1938 RDB diary, assistance requested

Hey guys,

I picked up this diary at a car boot sale along with a mint condition NSLB Taschenkalendar for a few peanuts at the weekend.

In the diary, there is not much in the way of writing but on page 3 (photo attached) there is some writing and a highlighted area which has the SS runes.

Can anyone help me and explain? Does this mean the chap was SS?
