IJA Officers Cork Sun Helmet - Translation Help?

A nice new addition to my collection today. A minty named IJA OFficers Sun Helmet. Made of Cork. Marked "Elephant Helmet" on inside dome with Lt insignia sewn onto exterior. Ersatz chinstrap and sweatband.

Will pair up nicely with my other more common style Japanese Sun Helmet as well as my German, Italian, British and US tropical sun helmets.

That said, would love some help translating the Kanji name on the inside dome. Thanks in advance!
