My latest purchase is this Schirmmütze with white Waffenfarbe identifying it as originating from the Hermann Göring Regiment or Division. The sweat band has disintegrated and it is difficult to read the entire stamp. One piece that detached clearly shows Regt. I wonder if I should just remove the pieces from that section and preserve it or just leave it in place. These are very hard to find and this is only the second example I have ever seen.
