I have a question regarding aircraft part of unidentified origin.

It looks like it was a landing light, with retractable mounting and aluminium, U-shaped mounting to the bottom of a wing surface, with slightly impact-damaged aluminium frame.

I haven’t find any numbers or markings on the backside, but painting scheme on the outer side resembles Luftwaffe painting scheme, with visible part of german black-white cross - see the attached photo. It was found on the attic, near former II WW Luftwaffe airfield.

I’ve tried to find any german aircraft with retractable landing light - without results… Mayby somebody here will have some ideas?
