Hiya, Thought you might be interested in seeing my uncles D Day Logbook entry, he flew Mosquitos with 605 Sqdn, he and his observer Roy Phillips were killed on 26th June 1944 when their craft crashed in flames about a mile downline from Margate Railway Station. That’s him on the right, he was 23, and his observer was 21 when they died, Jackie is buried in Hemel Hempstead Cemetary. BTW, he was a NON smoker and tea total too…he thought a pipe was the "thing" that made an RAF pilot, look like a pilot..I have the letter from him to my gran about his pipe,and that he had NOT started smoking, so she was NOT to worry… cost him 1/-…:)
