Hello to all. I wanted some opinions on these two Infanterie Sturmabzeichen, I know it’s against policy to post multiple items but these came as a pair when purchased, and look identical so I figured no harm. I have seen in previous posts badges with the hinge and catch hardware removed by the captor for purpose of display or insertion into a scrapbook. The reverses of these two badges seem too clean to me for that to be the case. My thoughts are these were taken as surplus that were never completed or issued. However it puzzles me as they do show wear and age. I m curious as to the manufacturer and thoughts on originality. I feel comfortable that they are period original, but if wrong I’d be glad to know.
