An unscrupulous switcheroo.

So, a couple weeks ago I asked about displaying tunics. At the time I was looking forward to picking up a Korean war veterans tunic and a DDR Grenztruppen tunic I found at a military surplus place. I put the American tunic on reserve and was waiting until finances allowed for me to pick it up. Well, today was going to be the day.
I walked in and asked him if he still had my tunic. He said he did and proceeded to produce a tunic devoid of all the Korean war ribbons. I expressed my shock and asked where they had gone. He told me it is exactly as I saw it last. I asked him how I knew it belonged to a Korean veteran if it had no associated awards. He said he didn’t know but he would take $10 off so I could replace the ribbons. Also missing were the uniform pants that were with it. Well, I was forced to pass on it if he couldn’t be honest. Hekept offering excuses, how would I profit, I am the only one who works here and things like that.
So, I looked more closely at his Grenztruppen tunic, to discover it was actually a Bundeswehr Jaeger tunic with a DDR cuff title added. Not worth the $75 he was asking. Pass again. Unfortunately a complete waste of time. notcool
