F-S Knife 2nd Pattern ?

Hi all … had this in my collection for a few years.

No provenance I am afraid but looks like it has had a modification to the sheath… possibility period.

No markings on the blade or the handle/cross plate .. but does appear to be a brass WW2 2nd pattern type ?
