Press Photo, Post D-Day

Hello folks.

A small, cheap piece, but a nice one. A press photograph taken just after D-Day, showing British soldiers coming ashore. The more you look at it, the more you see. Note the barrage balloons flying from the craft still offshore, and the Bren Gun Carrier on the beach in the centre. Lots of brave young men coming ashore at the dawn of the liberation of Europe.
The beach in question isn’t mentioned, and so I have no idea whether this is Gold, Sword or any of the other landing sites. An interesting one nonetheless, with a bit of information stamped on the reverse.

Regards, B.B.
