I am not sure if this badge is original or not. I have spent most of my time getting to know the RZM period enamel badges and I think I have gotten pretty good at determining the originality of that type. This badge is not RZM marked or Maker marked but simply GES GESCH. That is not completely unusual for early period badges as far as I can tell. A little concerned that there is no Maker mark though. The font is different compared to the standard RZM style I am familiar with but that also can vary in early badges from what I have seen. The pin looks ok its round at the base so that seems ok. The material looks a little bright to me like it is of an incorrect metal or maybe too new I’m not sure. The enamel looks a little less then detailed to my eyes although that’s why I post on this forum and ask these questions because I’m still a novice. My hunch is that it is not original. But I am hoping it is because I would like to buy it Any help would be great thanks!!
