The plaque is a marksmanship award presented at the 1935 national small arms competition of the German paramilitary Kyffhäuserbund. The circular profile bust of Adolf Hitler is a solid one-piece cast in high relief and measures approx. 5 inches in diameter. Beneath the bust is an engraved plate with the date and other details of the competition. The solid oak mounting board measures 8 ½ by 6 ½ inches and has beveled edges. The plaque weighs 650 grams (about 1.2 lbs) and is in very good condition with only insignificant surface wear on the satin finish of the face (e.g. pin-sized scratch near the ear) and no dents.
