Finnish issued German M40 Helmet…

Carrying on with my Finn Helmet Buying Binge, this M40 helmet arrived from IMA in the US yesterday - I certainly can’t fault their service - 11 days from ordering until it arrives on my door step in New Zealand is pretty good, but I guess you get that when you pay USD$76 for freight…

Made by Emailwaren in Fulda, size 64 with a lot number of 22123 which from my research dates it to 1940 - I think…

Its been relined with a 1950s liner and used after that. Overall I’m pretty happy with it.

US Helmet change over

Interesting photo showing US soldiers swapping their P1917 Brodies for the new M1 fixed bail Helmets.Circa 1942.
Not sure of location Photo description just says "at point of Embarkation" I read somewhere that troops were also issued with the new M1 pot when they were in Brisbane Australia on their way North ? (Photo shared from Batrac International)

Question Rareity of a canadian issued model 1917 enfield?

So I’ve come across a model 1917 enfield chambered in .303 with the Canadian army stamp on the receiver. All I ever see of these rifles are chambered in 30-06 such as the Remington or eddystone. My question is, how rare are these model rifles in .303 vs. American 30-06?
