When I was a mere lad of 12 years I was unfortunate to buy from one of the idiots/rogues that abounded in the ’70s in the UK a fake SS 8yr service medal.

At the time I thought it was brilliant but when I came to know it for what it was along with some of the other rubbish I fell for I nearly gave up collecting completely and turned away from TR stuff for years.

I came back to TR collecting a while ago now but it has taken this long for me to obtain any SS items at all.

So, the circle is now closed and I have added an SS 8 year service medal (Dienstauszeichnung) the authenticity of which I am convinced.
