RCN Trench Art
Was helping a friend cleaning out his sisters barn today when I saw this on the wall . I thought it was wooden at first , but when I got it down I realized it cast aluminum. It is screwed to the wooden backing . After some convincing and heavy lifting, he gave it to me .Has anyone seen these before , I’ve done some searches but couldn’t find another.
It’s a River-class frigate HMS/RCN Monnow (K441)
British built transferred to RCN in 1944
Sold to the Danish after the war
