Re: Help Id’ing needed for WWII US Flag?

I bought this in France in the Summer & so far have been unable to find anything out about it at all. I cannot find any images of anything similar & I have already spent many hours looking. My thoughts are it may be connected with the Army/ Navy Excellence award. Initially the Army & Navy Boards awarded separate flags until 7 months after Pearl harbour when it became a joint award. I have found an image of the Navy Flag but this had an "E" for excellence on which the later joint flags did too. Mine does not have this.
Any thoughts or help would be gratefully received
