Important! Marked WB , is this a WW2 GERMAN WASSERBEHALTER water container

I need help with this shrapnel damaged steel riveted container…….

New info…..
Is this marked WB and NOT VB as previously thought
Please ignore previous thread !!

WATER CONTAINER = WASSERBEHALTER due to being marked WB

Size is quite small : 14cm x 19cm (5 1/2" x 7 1/2")

Please see photos…….. Any ideas ??
