Need help! Unknown metal piece

Hello,

a friend of mine found the following piece in a forest near Braunau am Inn.
It shows "WaA D11" or "WaA 011", but I couldn’t find anything related to one of this codes.
Can somebody tell me what this plate is? I’ve got only this pic.
