A basic MK2 from France
Hi,
for my first post on the forum, a presentation of this very basic MK2 (no camo or unit flash). It was found in northern France. The BEF fought there in 1940 and it was also the british and canadian (but also commonwealth, belgium and polish) highway to the Reich in 1944. So I have absolutly no way to detremine when it was lost…:weep:

The paint is textured outside and smooth inside. The shell is probably a Fisher & Ludlow but apart from the date (1940), the stampings are hard to see, as paint and rust cover them. The inner part is a size 7 made by E.W VERO and also dated 1940. No markings on the chinstrap.
