Question Soviet WWII artillery compass
A nice piece of Red Army militaria, an artillery compass with its case. Both are 1944 dated.
The artillery compass is made in the KMZ factory.

I’ve seen more examples of this type of artillery compass but they were always in the standard Soviet army colour.
Perhaps this example was intended for use in the Soviet Navy or Air force.
Unfortunately I can not find much about the operation of this optical device or WWII dated pictures of Soviet soldiers using this artillery compass.

I only know that it was used by field artillery and engineers. Who knows more about this artillery compass or has pictures of Soviet soldiers
who are using this optical device?
