I’m looking for information on my Great grandfather Joseph Nicol Bell . (My Dad’s Father)

He served during WWI with the KOSB (King’s Own Scottish Borderers) Regiment. My father tells me that he was badly injured in the Battle of the Somme, where he almost lost his leg. He spent many months in hospital.

Sadly I don’t have any further details other than the above. I was hoping that someone could run a search perhaps. As I would love to retrace his steps and delve a little deeper.
