From what I’ve learned, the SD first used the shoulder boards used in the black SS uniforms, but on both sides of the uniform, and that later they used army-styled shoulder boards and finally starting in 1942, police styled shoulder boards with black underlay and toxic green piping.

However, I would like to know more about SD’s use of the army style shoulder boards. What color was the piping, if a member of the SD was using these type of shoulder boards? I have only found a couple images, but the piping color cannot be distinguished from them.
