Question Need helping identifing WWI Helmet

Hi guys

I recently acquired WWI Mk1 helmet. I assumed it to be British but I’m not so sure. It has a black strip around the helmet and insignia on the side. Please photos. Can anyone assist in identifying who used that insignia?
