Volksgrenadier or Panzergrenadier?

Hi guys,

Kampfgebiet Holland 14. September 1944 . The day that Maastricht was liberated and the Allies pushed forward to the river Geul. The man on the picture looks quite old and I’m wondering if he is a Volksgrenadier of just a Panzergrenadier? Many thanks in advance!
