M1938 Tanker Helmet and Italian Tanker Instignia

Here is my new M1938 Helmet. I’ve purchased it from Italy, and I’m told it may well be US WWII surplus that was given off to various European countries post war. I suspect it’s a Rawlings, having compared a few photos of various manufacturers, however I can’t confirm because it lacks a manufacture stamp. If anyone can confirm, I’d appreciate it. I was also surprised it has 55-56 stamped inside, which seems to be the size in CM, instead of the US size in inches. :confused:

Along with the helmet I got two pieces of triangular fabric, each half blue half red, 4 unissued (paper still attached to the back!) collar tabs, and 3 badges of some sort. Two have Tanks on them, and one has a pair of crossed rifles and the number "121".
