Buckle Restoration

I would like to show one of my small restoration projects. Any of you that know me, know that I like to make things.:)
Over the years I have obtained a couple of buckles that were missing the retaining post. I have created a die to remake them. I sat for quite a few hours looking at original ones and tried to figure out how they were created. This is the solution that I have come up with.
When making the post, I take a piece of .020 inch sheet metal and a piece of 1/8 inch rod. I bend the rod to the correct dimensions and drill two holes in the sheet metal. The rest is done in the forming die. I use a series of three pressing dies to do the job.
Enjoy,
Ralph.
