German Planes, parts buried in Southern Indiana, USA
This is a link to a news report about a small airfield in Southern Indiana where German planes from WW2 were flown and tested. Apparently there were a lot of items buried, and now the search is on. There have been other searches in the past, and quite a few items were found. This is only about 50 miles north of my location, and I had not even heard of the airfield before now.
I am looking forward to seeing what they find, and will plan a trip to the museum at Freeman Field.
